Waka 390 Sport Fisher
A boat for the dedicated fisherman who likes to venture a little further and enjoy the comfort of a relaxing evening in a quiet bay
afterwards. The large cockpit offers plenty of space for serious
fishing equipment, including space for a game chair if desired.
Waka 390 Trawler
The trawler benefits from all of the same positives as our base Explorer model but sacrifices some of the large cockpit to offer
a larger interior space with a flybridge above the main cabin.
Fashion plates and wind doors protect the cockpit from the wind
when underway and at anchor. A small derrick crane allows the
tender to be stowed at the aft end of the flybridge.
Waka 390 Workboat
Down time is something that any commercial operation cannot
afford, and a workboat needs to be able to function in all
weathers and conditions and sometimes for long hours. The
versatile and compliant hull form of the Waka390 is the basis
of an ideal platform. The vessel offered has a compact but
comfortable wheelhouse with excellent vision and internal
access to a day cabin and head below. We offer two options of
access forward, one of a conventional step-up foredeck, and one with a recessed walk-around access. The obvious feature is the abundance of deck space in the large aft cockpit.
Waka 390 Explorer
The Waka 390 Explorer is a fresh approach to New Zealand boat design, crafted for those who appreciate clarity and functionality in a powerboat. Made from aluminium, this vessel was created for seasoned boaters who value simplicity and reliability, however this clean design is a great option for newcomers as well.
As Brett Bakewell-White explains, “Kiwis love to go boating, but it often takes years to discover the features you truly value. Many eventually return to simple, efficient designs because much of the pleasure comes from learning to skilfully run and handle the boat.”
